I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your

letter No.MF dated 30th October, 1919, to which I regret that I have not been able to reply earlier, having been absent from this Colony for two months.

From/report received from my superior, there is no objection to the importation of opium to the Chilean Territories. Such drug has been sent to Chile for years from England, France, Italy and Turkey.

Import Duty on same is as follows:- Opium Paste or Powder, $8.00 per Legal Kilo.
